John Adair has developed a three point theory on successful leadership, known as the Action Centred Leadership theory. The three points being Task, Team and Individual:
Task: The aim to achieve the task in hand, identifying resources and responsibilities to achieve the task.
Team: Managing the team through establishing style and culture. Developing team-working and team-spirit culture.
Managing the individual: Understanding the individuals skills and strengths, promoting the individuals growth, agreeing individual responsibilities and objectives; using your knowledge of the individual strengths and skills within the team.
This theory has been applied to the character Buzz Lightyear.
